In 1967, Richard Pitman commenced the firm in Glen Waverley, in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne. In 1998, Richard became a consultant to the firm and David Sharrock became the new principal. Richard has since retired and David has been joined by other lawyers.
Sharrock Pitman Legal has therefore made a significant and long term contribution to administering justice and meeting the legal needs of business proprietors and residents in the City of Monash and surrounding suburbs. From the outset, the focus has always been on excellence in client service and the current legal team are building on that solid track record. Sharrock Pitman Legal is keen to enhance its reputation as one of the most caring, reliable and trustworthy of suburban legal firms in Melbourne by making a difference in terms of service, skills and solutions.
The firm is located on the ground floor of modern, multi-level premises, adjacent to the busy retail and restaurant precinct in Glen Waverley. The building is a real commercial hub, with some 25 other businesses located there. Clients are afforded comfort, convenience and good access to the premises. There is bus and train transport nearby, with plenty of free car parking opposite the building off Montclair Avenue and behind the building off Bogong Avenue.

Why therefore do we practise law today?
Law firms are all different in their "reason for being" or in what motivates them in providing legal services.
At Sharrock Pitman Legal, we care for people by finding solutions for their legal needs and so help improve their enjoyment of life. This is why we exist.
Our distinctive purpose of caring for people shapes the entire way in which we practise law. With this purpose motivating and shaping our law firm, we aim to be decidedly different to other law firms in why and how we provide our legal services.
